Private Client 2

DESIGNED BY calico interiors

A few years ago, we helped renovate this new build in Shipton Moyne, near the Cotswolds. Our client was very involved with the process, selecting the fabrics and providing others (some of which were imported from France!), including the playing card design that was used for the blind in the games room. The overall look was traditional and timeless, incorporating many classic designs throughout the household.

A range of decorative fabrics were used for the window treatments, such as Sanderson’s Beautiful Balloons in the en suite bathroom.  Many of the curtains and blinds had lambrequin pelmets which added to the traditional feel. To make these, we visited the house numerous times, designing and cutting the lambrequins to the fit the wall mouldings perfectly. We also made sure that the pattern on the fabrics lined up with the pelmets to create a whole 'image' when the curtains close. Printed fabrics were used for the shaped headboards as well, accompanied by tamer designs to ensure that the prints stood out.

One of the bedrooms had a simple colour scheme that helped create a timeless design. We produced plain pelmets with bobble trimmings from Harlequin, while the striped headboard matched the walls and accessories. White was injected into the colour scheme to retain a light finish.

Furthermore, the client supplied her own furniture, some of which we upholstered. Our client also selected fabrics that we used to recover seat pads, including Lewis & Wood and Colefax and Fowler

This is just some of the work we did for this beautiful home. We also supplied the carpets and installed electric Roman blinds using Silent Gliss tracks. This project is an unforgettable one for our team, as we worked our way through the house, ensuring that every product was installed perfectly and met our client’s expectations.
