Designed by Calico Interiors
Calico Interiors produced and supplied the furniture, lighting, and velvet headboards for this Georgian townhouse. Our client loves colour and asked us to create a bold and contemporary design. We thoroughly enjoyed working with this client, as this project allowed us to create many different products using a variety of printed fabrics.
Some of the fabrics used were from the Tulipa Stellata collection from Designers Guild. The variety of patterns from this vivid collection are suitable for a range of uses, such as upholstery, curtains, and blinds, making it perfect for this project. The sumptuous quill-printed fabric that features on some of the furniture contrasts the delicate floral designs that were used for the curtains.
We also used fabrics from the Belvoir collection from Matthew Williamson at Osborne & Little. Several of the pelmet curtains were created using the Lyrebird and Orangery fabrics from this collection, as these patterns coordinated with the floral theme that runs throughout the house. The vibrant blue and purple hues stand out against the tamer walls and flooring, ensuring that the decorative fabrics are the focal point in each room.
